My SEO Journey
I first started getting interested in SEO back in the summer of 1995. In those days I worked as a financial advisor, which I really enjoyed. However, the internet had caught my attention, and I was keen to find out how I could get involved so I launched my own small mobile website to see if there was any money in it.
Six months after I had launched it, I was pleased to have finalised an important deal on a bond case, which was going to provide me with excellent commission. The next day, relaxing after all the hard work, I decided to check out my little website to find out what was going on.
I wasn’t expecting much, so you can imagine my surprise when I discovered that I had made 400 sales and earned more than my entire commission from the bond case. After that, there was no going back: I knew the internet was my future.
Back then, I had no idea just how much of a role the internet would have in my life. I have since grown my SEO business and ranked many of my own websites and those of other businesses. Some of my achievements also include:
- Selling my little phone website to a large mobile provider
- Building up my web development company
- Developing three hosting firms
- Improving my rankings for my own and my clients’ sites
- Connecting with gurus including Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkins
- Helping many, many business to make more money online
What’s Next With My SEO
In many ways, I still feel like my SEO journey is only just beginning. I am committed these days to helping other business take advantage of all the benefits of SEO.
